Connecteam is a deskless-workforce app, and its sweet spot is field and construction crews. Its time clock does the fraud-relevant work: GPS-stamped clock-ins and geofencing, so a punch has to happen at the job site, not the driveway at home. For a small crew it's genuinely free: the Small Business plan is free for life for up to 10 users, with the time clock, scheduling, and the other hubs included (with some feature limits).
The honest part is the structure. Above 10 users, Connecteam is paid and priced per hub: the time clock and scheduling live in the Operations hub, which starts at $29/month for the first 30 users (Basic), then $49 (Advanced, up to 10 geofence sites) and $99 (Expert, unlimited geofencing), plus a small per-user fee beyond 30. If you also want the communications or HR features, those are separate hubs, so the 'all-in-one' can mean stacking a couple of subscriptions. Worth pricing out against a single-purpose time tool if all you actually need is the clock.
Where it fits: Connecteam earns its place for field and construction employers, crews spread across job sites are exactly where GPS-verified punches matter, and for tiny teams that want a free, location-checked clock. It isn't biometric like Jibble, so for pure proof-of-identity at clock-in Jibble's free face verification is stronger. Connecteam's edge is the deskless operations bundle and the genuinely free tier under 10 users.

Field, construction, and deskless employers, and small crews under 10, that want GPS-verified time tracking (and optionally scheduling and comms) in one app.
Teams that want biometric proof at clock-in (see Jibble), or an office/salaried workforce that doesn't move between sites.
