Harmony Email & Collaboration is Check Point's cloud email security, and if the name Avanan rings a bell, that's why: Check Point acquired Avanan in 2021 and folded it into the Harmony line. It connects to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace over API in minutes, with no MX change, and sits inline to catch threats before delivery as well as after, across email plus Teams, Slack, and file-sharing apps like Dropbox and Box.

For the payroll-diversion problem it does the expected job, anti-phishing, BEC and impersonation detection, account-takeover protection, with Check Point's threat intelligence behind it and a headline 99.7% phishing-prevention claim. The reason it's worth an SMB's attention is that it's enterprise-grade detection reachable without an enterprise relationship: Check Point sells it heavily through MSPs and resellers who will package and manage it for you.

The honest caveats are about how you buy it. Pricing is quote and partner-led, there's no public per-seat number, so you're going through a channel rather than a checkout page, and the experience depends on the partner you pick. It's also a broad platform spanning email and collaboration apps, which is a plus if you want one tool across Microsoft, Google, Teams, and Slack, and more than you need if the only thing you're worried about is the payroll-diversion email. Include it for depth, it's a credible option, just not the fastest to self-serve.
