IRONSCALES is email security built around phishing, BEC, and account takeover, and unlike the enterprise names it's packaged and priced for smaller teams and the MSPs who manage them. It's an API-based, self-learning platform: when one person reports a suspicious email, it clusters similar messages, auto-remediates them out of every affected inbox at once, and folds the outcome back into detection through a feedback loop across its whole user base.

For payroll diversion specifically, two things matter. Its detection covers the BEC pattern, impersonation, lookalike domains, the sudden direct-deposit-change request, and it covers account takeover, which is the other way payroll fraud starts: a real employee's mailbox gets compromised and the request arrives from the genuine address, past every 'is this really them' check. Higher tiers add Microsoft Teams protection and built-in security-awareness training with GPT-generated spear-phishing simulations. It connects to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace over API.

On pricing, be honest about the sourcing: IRONSCALES doesn't post per-seat prices on its own site (you request a quote), but third-party marketplaces and review sites consistently put the tiers at roughly $3.89/user/month for Protect, about $5.49-5.99 for Email Protect, and $7.29 for Complete Protect. There's a free trial but no free tier. The MSP partner program is the real draw if you outsource your IT, your provider can usually just add it. It's the most straightforwardly SMB-priced dedicated option in this category, if not the flashiest.
